Smt. Shilpa Sanjay Verma is a visionary social entrepreneur, educationist, philanthropist, and promoter of India’s traditional handloom heritage. For over two decades, she has worked towards rural development, women empowerment, artisan welfare, and quality education for underprivileged children. She established a school in Daund near Pune to provide modern and quality education to children from rural and economically weaker backgrounds, introducing innovative teaching methods and creative learning techniques in villages. Alongside education, she has actively empowered rural women through entrepreneurship initiatives, workshops, and self-employment opportunities. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she founded Kairavee Weaves and Looms to support India’s weaver community and preserve the country’s rich handloom traditions. Through this initiative, she continues to promote local artisans while contributing towards education and welfare programs for rural communities.
